We have a 6 year old male, neutered velveteen rabbit. I would like to get a cage companion for him. I've read that generally its easier for a male/female to get along then male/male. I would put them both in cages but them next to each other and see what they do. Let them do this for about an hour or two. If this goes well let one out of it's cage for a little wile and see if it pays attention to the caged rabbit. If this goes well, (no fighting) you can put them out of their cages together with supervision for the first few days.
