What is the best breed of rabbit for a busy family?

I've asked this question before, but, I'm hoping new people might have new insights.





Please only answer the question. Any posts regarding rabbit care or responsibilty are not needed, and are a waste of your energy.What is the best breed of rabbit for a busy family?
I am a little biased being I am an English Lop breeder/owner, but I just can't help it. These guys are FABULOUS!


The English Lop is a larger rabbit, but their temperament is superb. They love and seek attention, but if they do not get it, they won't be upset. The English Lop is a very good breed of rabbit whose personality doesn't change if you ignore them. They will still receive your affection and give it just equally when you can.





As a new breeder to the developing breed, Velveteen Lops, I am finding this to be true about them as well. Being they are of English Lop breeding, they certainly have the same temperament, but are a smaller breed if you can not find yourself to love the big breed called the English Lop.

I ahve been breeding rabbits for a while and have noticed that the bigger the rabbit the calmer they are.While small rabbits are more hyper . i have Californians and Mini Lops. The californians weigh about 8 lbs as the mini lops weigh about 4-6 lbs.my preference of these two breeds is the mini lop because they are just so cute and such lovers. I think you should'nt get a rabbit if you have no time to spend with it.
