Is it possible to keep a rabbit in doors?

Would one be OK with being alone or should I get two?

What would the problems be?

Can they be potty trained?

PS. I know rabbits aren't rodents but I thought you might know.Is it possible to keep a rabbit in doors?
Yes they can be kept indoors

Yes they can be litter trained, but accept that you will probably have ';raisins'; left all over the house.

They chew everything, and I mean everything, so you won't have any unchewed electrical cables, furniture, skirting boards, doors, doorjams, railings, stairs etc. in your house.

When they moult, you will have light, floaty hair all over your house.

Don't get two if you intend to keep it in the house, you will only be able to ';train'; it if it bonds with you, it won't if there's another rabbit around. Is it possible to keep a rabbit in doors?
Yes you can keep them indoors.

You also can keep them alone, however they may get lonely so you would have to give them plenty of handeling and attention.

I recomend you get two - a neauterd male and a spayed female - thats the best combination.

It's also so much cheaper to get them from a rescue centre if your not fussed about the age because spaying and neutering can cost a lot!

Rabbits can be potty trained, just give them a tray to litter in and move it to where they frequently go to the loo.

Hope I was helpful!

Yes rabbits can be kept indoors - it is safer for them than being outdoors!

Rabbits are a social species and should have the company of their own kind. I would suggest finding a rescue to get a pair of already neutered, bonded bunnies. If you must get a single rabbit then indoors would be better - more attention and stimulation.

Problems - you would need to ';rabbit proof'; your home, eg keeping wires and cables out of reach, etc. A rabbit also needs to learn what he can and can not chew etc. Even house rabbits benefit from having a cage where they can be when they can't be supervised.

Yes, they can be potty trained.

Yes, you can keep a rabbit indoors. Problems could be smell and maybe noise at night, depending on where you locate them.

Can they be potty trained? I doubt it, because you will be unlikely to have the patience to do that.

Rabbits should be fine alone, it's usually guinea pigs which are best to be kept in pairs. Hope this helps.
A rabbit will not really want a bunny buddy at first especially if they are not fixed. I would get two though because I have two and watch them cuddle and play, they act so happy compared to when it was just bunny girl.

They could fight if two males are introduced while females tend to be more mellow( there are females that fight). potty training is not that hard. Just set down a box in a corner of a room and put some of the poop in it along with timothy hay and newspaper. They should hop right in. If you want more info go to www.fuzzy-rabbit.com.
