What animal would kill a wild rabbit by tearing it's throat out?

I found a wild rabbit today that had it's throat ripped out. I am curious as to what animal would do this and leave it lying there without eating it?

Thanks. What animal would kill a wild rabbit by tearing it's throat out?
Cats wound get the nape of the neck. Dogs would eat the whole thing or bite the back to kill it. Foxes would eat the whole thing.

Weasel would eat the throat, they're 6 - 9 inches long and have small stomachs so can't eat a full two pound rabbit. Mink would be my second guess. What animal would kill a wild rabbit by tearing it's throat out?
A dog. It's gross but sometimes I will take the dogs out to the yard and will be doing something with one and another one will catch them and bring them to me without a head or part of the neck gone.

But strangely they are protective of my pet rabbit lol.
I would say maybe a coyote. But they eat it after they hunted it. And not let it go to waste.

So I'm going to say just a regular dog. My uncle's dog used to kill rabbits all the time. though he just broke their neck... but i still think it was probably a dog.

They usually kill for fun.
I would think it was a domestic dog or cat. Any wild animal would be too hungry to leave it. Wild animals can't waste energy on hunting for sport. Domestic animals kill from Instinct but eat at home, usually kibble.
No wild animal would ever just kill and leave it.. .sounds like someones dog got at it..... then went home to eat kibble... this is why people need to leash their pets.... its why some peoples small dogs die, peoples cats die.... irresponsible pet ownership.
Anything larger than the rabbit with carnivorous teeth. Probably a cat, they tend to kill for sport. Most coyotes and such would've probably eaten it.
Rambo
any of the mink/weasel/stoat/polecat like varmits will kill like that
Fox? Dog?
Dogs do this.
