What is the smallest rabbit in the world?

I want to get the smallest rabbit in the world or in Canada and want to know what kind how much and ware to get it and if it is a kind breed or not PLEASE HELPWhat is the smallest rabbit in the world?
There are several small breeds of rabbits.

The Brittania Petit is also usually 2.5 lbs or smaller.

The Jersey Woolie is usually under 3 lbs.

The Dwarf Hotot can weigh anywhere from 2 to 3 lbs.

The Lionhead is usually anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 lbs.

The Polish is usually under 3 lbs.

The Netherland dwarf is usually 2.5 lbs or smaller. They are sometimes classified as the smallest type of rabbit but that really depends on the genetics of the rabbit (you could technically find a Dwarf Hotot that weighs 2 lbs but the Netherland next to it weighs 2.5)

If your looking for a rabbit for a pet, then you could look in your local newspaper. Most rabbit owners tend to breed this time of the year, so you may have more options now then say in the fall. Also, you cold look and see if your local humane society has any rabbits in. If they don't they maybe able to put your name on a waiting list and contact you if one does come in. If you are looking for a show rabbit (or a pet also), you can try and contact some local rabbitries in your area.

The best way to find a breed of rabbit that you like (or want to show) and a local rabbitry that breeds that type is by going and visiting a local rabbit show.

The ARBA's website (American Rabbit Breeders Association): http://www.arba.net/

has a link that lists upcoming shows in your state.

While there you can also look at pictures of the different breeds of rabbits. If you click on the picture of the rabbit you happen to like, it will direct you to that rabbit breeds own breeders club.

Good luck in your search...What is the smallest rabbit in the world?
I have a Dwarf Lop Bunny and it's about 6 inches and 75% grown already, but i don't know if it's the smallest?
