How do i make my rabbit to stop peeing in her food bowl?

I have a food bowl where i have timothy hay for her. She'll soil on it but still eat it. How do i make her stop and is it healthy for her to eat soiled timothy hay?How do i make my rabbit to stop peeing in her food bowl?
It is not a particularly healthy habit.

I would get one of the little hay feeders they have at the pet store. It looks like a little wire cage that hangs on the side of the cage and they can pull out the hay from there as they eat it. This will keep it up off the bottom. How do i make my rabbit to stop peeing in her food bowl?
You might get a bowl that can be hanged on the cage wall,so that your rabbit wont have a chance to step in its food, the bowl could be get from any pet shop,it only cost a few bucks...get on and your problem is solve...
Do you have a litter box for her? If so, do you put hay over the top of it or do you clean the litter box too thoroughly? Sometimes if the litter box is too clean and loses it's smell, they'll find another place to use the bathroom.
well lets see now,

if you ejaculate you can swallow your semen.

if it has a virus it will only go straight back into her. the only way she could get sick is if bacteria gets on it in the minutes it sitting there drenched in urine.

and if the 'virus' is not noticed by yourself, your rabbit should be fine.

though it is not piticularly sanitary.
I have rabbits but the female has never peed in her food bowl maybe she irreated %26amp; can't help but pee in her bowl ..I would take to the vet asap...I don't think eating soiled timothy hay will hurt her...
well you might want to move the food bowl from where his hay is!!!
try moving the dish. Rabbits useually pick a corner to pee in. If you buy a new dish that doesn't smell like urine and put it in a different spot, she may stop. In the spot she is peeing, put a rabbit litter box with some bedding. She should pee in the litter ox and then eat out of the new dish. If that doesn't work, you can do what the others suggested and get a feeding bin or coop cup that hangs off the side of the cage. Super Pet also makes a veggie/hay hangning basket that looks like a wire ball that you hang from the top of the cage.

no, it's not good for her to eat urine. bacteria and all that stuff...

Hope that Helps!
take the bowl away.
We have a problem with our 2 rabbits peeing their food bowl at times. It's always been when we haven't got around to cleaning their litter box. Do you have a litter box for the rabbit? They can be litter trained and prefer to go in one place. Ours only go in their litter box unless their little box is not cleaned out at least every other day. They may feel like the hay in their bowl is a place to go potty. I would make sure their bowl is across the cage from where they go to the bathroom. It's probably not going to hurt your rabbit eating soiled hay. Rabbits eat their morning poop, because it has nutrients. Make sure that you clean it out every day and give it fresh hay regularly. My rabbits will go in their food bowl when it is empty telling us they want more food, so when it is empty take the bowl out, although make sure they always have a fresh supply of hay.
