How can a rabbit become a therapy rabbit?

I have a 7 month old Belgian Hare mix rabbit. He is very friendly. I was wondering how he could become a therapy rabbit and visit hospitals. Please answer asap! How can a rabbit become a therapy rabbit?
You need to find a group that will accept rabbits first of all. Hospitals etc. will not allow a non-certified animal to visit, because of the liability issues. Animal Assisted Therapy groups carry large amounts of liability insurance. Many therapy animal groups only certify cats and dogs, or even just dogs. Once you've found a group, you'll need to get him certified. This will mean a test where your rabbit's suitability is determined, and may also include training for you on dealing with the disabled and elderly most effectively. It will generally involve a stranger picking him up, touching him all over, etc. They may test him on his reaction to people with erratic behavior, small children, etc. since often hospital visits will require him to sit quietly and allow petting by the mentally or physically disabled, children, and the elderly that may not be all that coordinated. They will observe his reaction to the various tests and decide if he can be certified or not. Many rabbits who are friendly at home become quite shy and scared when taken to other locations and exposed to strange people, so do not be too surprised if your rabbit does not pass the test. If he behaves stressed or seems like he doesn't want to do it, they will not certify him, and that's OK, you want to do what is best for your pet, and it may be he is happiest just being your pet. It takes a rare rabbit to enjoy this type of activity. Here are a couple groups that do certify rabbits, if they do not operate in your area, they may be able to refer you to a group that does:

contact your local hospital with this question. Hospitals have to invite you in for you to come in with an animal, but he will probably have to be at least ayear old. Practice working on leash manners and basic ommands like hopping up on a bed. Also, socialize him a lot. If he is as sweet as you say he is, I think he could become a great therapy animal.
well i guess i would have him get to being around new people in case it isn't already. But yea contact local hospitals, hospist, retirement homes, assistant leaving homes. anything where people can get lonley and ask if you could bring animals in for therapy or for company.
