Is it dangerous for a rabbit to eat chocolate?

My rabbit accidently found some leftover valentine chocolate and bit off a piece. I tried to take it away from him but he just scratched me and ran away. I've been trying to introduce fruits and vegtables but he wasn't interested in any of them. Why does he seem to love chocolate?Is it dangerous for a rabbit to eat chocolate?
It is dangerous for a rabbit to eat chocolate. Chocolate can kill rabbits. Why do they go for it? There has to be an easter chocolate bunny link in there somewhere... :)Is it dangerous for a rabbit to eat chocolate?
To animals, chocolatte is very delicious, but they can get very hyper for it, even for a bunny!
Never feed your rabbit chocolate!





AVOID SUGAR Rabbits will overindulge and beg for it. It increases the bad bacteria in their digestive systems and can cause intestinal trouble resulting in diarrhea and/or not eating. Too many sweets can cause obesity.

Some chocolates are dangerous and may get them sick or killed. He may seem to love chocolate because it is sweet but too much will be too sweet for it. If fruits and vegatables won't do then try getting proper rabbit food from a pet shop. And keep all your chocolates away from your rabbit and make sure he won't be able to find them.


Only give him pet food and when he has gotten used to it, try introducing vegatables to him. He may start eating them.
CHOCOLATE BUNNY FOR EASTER
He's a'; living creature'; he to has been afforded the ability to smell and taste, and chocolate happens to be an indulgence that works well with your fluffy buddies palate. lets face it who or what in their right mind would pass up a yummy piece of chocolate for ';rabbit food';.


However, I would not reccomend leaving your stash of goodies laying around in future - not good for the digestive system ...
Chocolate is not good for most animals.... i wouldn't worry about your bunny dying or anything... he/ she justs might not feel very good for a day or two. my bunny has done this too. He is still alive and healthy today. As to why they like it so much i have no clue. Try to keep the chocolate away from your bunny in the future.
