How can a rabbit put on weight?

Our rabbits for some reason are underweight. Does anyone have any ideas how they can put some more weight on?

They get veg, Hay and rabbit food (more than they need) and they eat this however they are still too thin.

Any suggestions? How can a rabbit put on weight?
give them more carrots, since carrots are a source of sugar, it will make it gain weight. How can a rabbit put on weight?
B.est thing to do is phone your vet for best advice. There may be a problem that is difficult to diagnose. They need their weight to keep them warm and healthy in the winter.

Hope this helps.
It's possible your food isn't up to snuff, so to speak. I would find some professional breeders in your area and see what they feed, since I'm not familiar with brands of feed in the UK (I'm assuming where you are).

You might want to cut out the veggies and up the amount of pellets since they're a more concentrated source of nutrition.

Other than that, did your vet do a fecal sample? They may be carrying worms. I'd ask your vet about worming specifically...even if none show up in a fecal, they may still be present and it won't do any harm for you to worm them.

As a second thought, what makes you think they are thin? Some rabbits are simply build so that their hip bones stick out a bit, and you won't be able to get them filled in without making them incredibly obese. Some breeds are also bred to look thinner, like the Belgian Hare. I would try and figure out what breed you have, and compare them to others of that breed to see how they measure up in both weight and condition.
If underweight, u are not giving enough of the food they need - perhaps brown bread, rich tea biscuits wd remedy underweight rabbits. plenty of dry mixed rabbit food. ask the vet!
if you give them too much fresh veg they can get scouring and loose weight

stick to a good rabbit mix for a while
well make sure that they have free choice pellets till they gain weight again then once they gain weight again then don't give them free choice pellets.

Im not sure if you are a top brain on rabbits but perhaps the breed of your rabbit is naturally thin. I suggest giving them more dry foods and the occasional fruit or vegetable. Pick them some fresh grass twice a week and a constant supply of fresh water. Keep an eye on their activity levels because they may be tiring themselves out. Give it another few weeks of so and if they dont gain any weight then perhaps consulting a vet would be an appropriate step to take.
Try not to make him too fat, I find that fat rabbits don`t taste as good.
Take them to vet could be worms or internal parasites.
see a vet to make sure they dont have any vitamin deficiency which would make them loose weight.

Or lock them in thier cages so they dont burn off the calories!!
I don't think you have enough time for Christmas. You'll have to buy a Turkey.
